With timber frame, the scaffold has to be erected beforehand in its entirety. However, the format is unique to timber frame insomuch as the height of the lifts and the distance away from the structure, in order for it to do its job. If thought out correctly, the adaptions afterwards for follow on trades is minimal; if not, it all has to come down and go up again for brickwork or render.
Despite the atrocious weather, the timber frame arrives and goes up over a period of three weeks. The weather highlights the advantage of building with timber frame; with masonry construction, the site would have come to a standstill for this period with valuable time lost.
